Walk & Train

  • A dog owner outdoors with her well-trained dog

    Paris

Paris is an aspiring psychologist with a strong understanding of behaviour and years of practical dog handling experience.

Our Walk and Train service ensures your dog’s existing training is seamlessly integrated into their one-hour walk. Paris observes behaviour, fine-tunes obedience, and practises loose-lead walking. With safety and reliability as our top priorities, your dog is in capable hands.

Unlike other walkers, your dog won’t be taken out in a pack of ten, left off-lead, or left to their own devices. Instead, they’ll receive focused attention and a walk tailored to their individual needs. If appropriate or requested, a co-walk option is also available.

  • A relaxed, well-trained dog out on the water with its owner

    Mike

Mike’s passion for dogs grew from a deeply personal experience. In 2022, he took on the care of a family member’s dog with a significant bite history and a dangerous/menacing council classification. Rather than simply managing the dog’s fear, Mike spent years studying canine behaviour and applying behaviour‑modification techniques until the dog was formally removed from the registry.

His Walk & Train sessions put that knowledge to work—reinforcing your dog’s existing training while focusing on loose‑lead walking, obedience, calm behaviour, and of course, play. Every walk is purposeful and tailored to your dog’s individual needs.

Each dog receives one‑on‑one attention. No group walks—just structured, focused time outside designed to keep your dog thinking, learning, and enjoying being a dog. Safety and reliability are always the top priority.

  • Michael (Melbourne)

Michael has lived with dogs for twenty years, and every one since his first has been a rescue. In April 2024 he took on George, a bully breed with a bite history who'd been handed off once already before being close to being put to sleep. Six months of consistent work later, George is a completely changed dog and has been living a great life ever since.

Getting to this point meant hiring trainers, many hours of personal research and practice alongside being trained by Elijah. Michael has hands-on experience with strong, aggressive, reactive and anxious dogs. Michael is also a barber and barbering teacher, so he's personable, easy to talk to, and good at explaining things clearly to owners.

Walk and Train sessions cover loose-lead walking, obedience, recall, engagement, road safety and structured play. Michael's view is that every minute a dog is awake is a minute they're learning, so the whole hour is treated that way.

Your dog is walked on their own, with one handler focused on them the entire time — no big packs, no dog parks, and no pressure to greet strange dogs on the street. Co-walks are available if both dogs live together and neither are aggressive/reactive. Michael offers feedback on how the session went and what was covered if owners are after that.
